Chef Carolyn



As the former Chef in Residence for the Tahoe Food Hub, Chef Carolyn was a vital liaison between our local Farmers and Chefs. From crop planning for next season with farmers, to meeting with chefs, Carolyn continues live her passion for sourcing sustainably, locally and organically. 


Chef Carolyn's career started at the age of 21 cooking as a private chef in her hometown, Los Angeles. After her passion for food collided with her passion for the outdoors, Chef Carolyn moved to Mammoth Lakes to study under French Master Chef, Frederic Pierrel

After succeeding Frederic Pierrel in Mammoth Lakes, Carolyn was given an opportunity to study under British Celebrity Chef, Maria Elia in South Lake Tahoe, later succeeding her as interim Executive Chef.  

In 2015 Carolyn traveled to England to study under Italian-born London chef Paolo Mancassola. Her trip included travels to Italy, staying at small family farms and learning traditional old world recipes and techniques.


Chef Carolyn joined the Ritz Carlton at Northstar for the 16/17 winter. As the Head chef of 'Manzanita' restaurant, Carolyn lead her team to increase their regional ranking from #64 to #4.
